When looking at best practice in the 3 pillars of Employee Attraction & Retention, overall you have scored:
CRITICAL
Further down this page, you will see this broken down by category.
It looks like you have some work to do if you want to focus on keeping the staff you have. But don't worry, we have identified some areas that would help you boost your score quickly.
Why should you care? Positive management of people experience should rank high on your priorities as such interventions can increase staff retention by between 10-30%. In fact many companies that focus on their employees have a staff attrition rate of 10% lower than their industry average.
Replacing staff costs an average of £30K for employees paid £25k or more, even more for senior roles. So for an organisation of 100 people, losing 13 instead of 15 people a year could save an average of £60k per year at least.
Not only this but focusing in people experience improves engagement, reduces sickness and increases productivity. New employees are also more likely to stay (on average as much as 43% of new starters leave within the first 9 months).
It's not a quick fix, but what's not to love about those benefits for both the company / organisation and for you personally.
The questions assessed your current strategy against KUDU's 3 Pillars of Employee Attraction & Retention. Under KUDU's 3 Pillars of Employee Attraction & Retention model, in order for a wellbeing programme to be successful, it needs to be designed to incorporate Individual, Environmental and Cultural interventions, underpinned by a tailored, data led approach.
Individual Support
We assessed how well you are doing in supporting positive people experience and empowering employees to improve their own health & wellbeing. If you didn't score so well in this category, have you tried asking employees what their biggest concerns are with their wellbeing and getting in a series of experts to deliver webinars and seminars in these areas, provide access to information and support in these areas and upskill your health and wellbeing champions.
Work Environment
We looked at how you are adapting your work environment to support create a positive people experience. If you didn't score so well in this category, one of the easiest things you can do to improve is set up some areas for employees to get away from the work environment. For example, in your workplace setting up an area where employees can eat lunch away from their desk. Or if your employees are working from home, teach them to use technology to put in lunch breaks and focus time.
Workplace Culture
We assessed what actions and processes you are implementing in your workplace to create a positive culture. If you didn't score so well on this category, one of the best things you can do is make sure your leaders are leading by example. Get them to do the best practice and shout about it. For example, not trying to contact employees late at night, organising walking meetings or putting in and sticking to their lunch breaks.
Tailored Approach
We looked at how much you use data to tailor your strategy to your organisation and the people within it. If you didn't score so well in this category, one of the key things to do is engage with your staff on their people experience. Undertake a staff survey and see what is impacting them. Tailor your offerings to their needs.
